Most of the firm’s clients are employers with around 200 to 600 staff. Small business clients are generally limited to professional services such as IT, accounting and legal services. WestmoreJacob’s focus is performing “quality work for quality clients”.

The position


You can expect to assist in the provision of advice in both contested and advisory matters, including complex potential dismissals and employment disputes.

Requirements of the role include:

  • completion or near completion of PLT;
  • 6 months’ experience working in a legal or quasi-legal environment. Previous experience in a union, employer association, community legal centre or law firm will be considered favourably; and
  • an academic average of at least 70% in law subjects.

Other requirements include:

  • an ability to work from our Kew East offices, 832 High Street, Tuesday to Thursday inclusive (Mondays and Fridays can be worked from home, if the candidate prefers); and
  • a strong eye for detail.

  • the candidate’s current average academic score in law subjects studied at University, expressed as a percentage;
